  5. my mother has catholic ears and eyes...she has a talent for simply 'not hearing or seeing' material unordained by the holy see....she'd probably sit in from of the screen smiling politely and saying things like 'he's very excitable, isnt he? Boys like that were always difficult in the classromm' etc & etc..

  6. Jack Black features in a couple of the Foo Fighters video clips (which, unlike most successful rock bands who take themselves way too seriously, take the proverbial piss).
In "Learning to Fly" (see it on the Fooeys web site, or gogglable I'm sure), he is the airline caterer who accidentally pours the incorrect white granules into the coffee maker.
The boys in the band, all drinking spirits, are the only passengers left standing, after cabin crew, pilots, & other passengers drink the spiked coffee.

  7. Further wiki investigation has revealed that the other airline caterer involved in the funny white powder stashing is Kyle Gass - also from the aforementioned Tenacious D.

OK. I'll stop talking about the Foo Fighters now.

  8. @ wilms, your mum sounds just like my mum-in-law!

she does the "goodness me" or "poor thing" when someone takes a bullet to the head or gets sawn in half. always the ready good will and empathy, gawd love her. also like your mum, she has an on-board editing suite that filters out naughty words without them every actually reaching her cerebral cortex. handy!
