Wish me luck, folks. Am having the 2 year old & the 5 year olds party at the same time today. Sausage sizzle at the local park/playground. With Kid A's kinder friends and with toddly's playgroup colleagues. It may be crowded, but it wont be at our place :D
in the meantime, my immensely talented sister has handmade cakes for both kidlets. here's her 'Princess Crown Cake' she's made for Kid A:
I'll chill a cask of wine for you in readiness for 4pm.
ReplyDeletethat cake is a ripper!
ReplyDeleteExhausted.....ended with Kid A chucking a tantrum because she didnt win a prize playing Statues. Darling i said, you have a carload of lovely gifts and you've had a huge party. I DONT CARE. I WANT A PRIZE she screamed, standing on the monkey bars with tears streaming down her face. Which just goes to show. Everything we were ever told about not over indulging our children was true. Little (*&^(.
ReplyDeleteTheir lack of appreciation can be frustrating, eh?
ReplyDeleteI could take mine to the zoo in the morning, buy hot chips for lunch, take them to the circus in the afternoon, and they'd still plead for fairy floss on the way out (& chuck a tantie if I answered in the negative).
Greed. It's a natural childhood instinct, which I guess helped em to survive in the dark ages.
Happy birthday to your kids Wilma! Yay birthday cake! Yay presents!
