straight to personal top 5 .... within 10 minutes of opening scene. it's a long time betwixt drinks, but when film is art it's worth the wait :)

oh dearie me yes indeedy, wilms. VASTLY superior to TG, but then I didn't love TG so take that with a kg of oregon desertifcation salt. this piece is deep art, imho. spare as blazes but SO rich ...
bettipops, sombre it is. and sparse, and spare (as mentioned), and mostly dialogue free. there is a modicum of chat, but very little, and half of it is in a native american lingo sans benefit of subtitles. the kiddies and/or menfolk who need plenty of happenings will hate it :D
oh yes, unsettling. very. that's the point. you get to walk a few miles (in what feels like real time) in the shoes of the pioneers of the oregon trail. a-mazing.
